BlindSight

Production Tests

The BlindSight script was written over a period of more than 4 years, with multiple iterations, to generate one of the most precise and sophisticated projects ever conceived.
As each and every sequence involves the audience into the constantly evolving environment of a multilayered story, all creative and technical testing to date focused on ensuring this new world feels completely natural and real, encouraging suspension of disbelief and a deep emotional connection.
Technically, the first challenge was establishing a unified workflow for picture/sound acquisition and processing able to satisfy both 360 VR and traditional cinema delivery requirements.
A core team of visionaries from award-winning companies contributed to an extensive 4 years phase of research and testing, resulting in a totally new approach to filmmaking and the associated technology for planning, production, post-production and even delivery.  New systems, prototypes and alternative ways of implementing existing tools now deliver everything BlindSight needs, so creativity is never compromised.
Recent production tests generated three key sequences from the script (runtime 12 minutes) delivered for cinema and VR headsets.  This production is not released in the public domain.
